Keto Bread

Besides missing all your favorite sweet treats while on the ketogenic diet, you also miss the heck out of fresh baked breads!! This keto bread substitute works perfectly to fill that gap!

This recipe yields to one ramekin. I make this recipe one by one ramekin, then bake them all together on a cookie sheet.

Ingredients:

·         1 large egg

·         2 tbsp almond flour

·         1 tbsp real butter

·         1 tbsp almond milk

·         ¼ tspn baking powder

·        1/8 tspn real salt

·

Variations to above recipe:

·         ¼ tspn Italian seasoning, 1/8 tspn garlic powder, can top off with shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

·         1 tbsp chopped bacon or ham

·         1 tbsp shredded cheese of your choice

·         ¼ cup finely chopped spinach, 1 tbsp crumbled feta cheese

·         1 tbsp finely chopped broccoli

·         Have fun creating your own flavor keto bread!

 

Instructions:

·         Preheat the oven to 400 degrees

·         Grease ramekins with butter or use cooking spray

·         In a separate (small) mixing bowl, add in all ingredients. Use a fork to or small whisk to completely mix together.

·         Pour the mixture into a greased ramekin.

·         Bake for 10-15 minutes

·         When the bread is done baking, let the ramekins cool. Then, turn over the ramekins to release the bread. Serve with butter at your next meal!
